A toothbrush. The handle is bamboo, cut to stand in the hand. The bristles are horsehair, set soft.
Replace every three months, or when the bristles splay. The brush composts when it is done.

The handle is turned from a single culm of bamboo and left unfinished. The bristles are horsehair, cleaned and cut, softer on enamel and gums than most nylon filaments.
Rinse after use. Dry upright, head free. Horsehair holds a little more water than nylon, so give it air. Not for the dishwasher.
Remove the bristles if your compost asks for it; the handle is wood and goes to soil or the organic bin.
