A single band of stainless steel, brushed and uncoated. It does not rust, does not flavour the mouth, and does not wear out.
Reach back, draw forward lightly, rinse the band, repeat two or three times. Once a day is enough, before brushing.
Rinse under hot water after use; it dries by itself. The dishwasher is fine, if it must.
